IMPORTANT NOTES
-This was done while holding the AMULET COIN. If you aren't using it then your payout totals will be lower than mine. Also, these totals are from RE-MATCHINGonly. These are not the totals you will get from battling the trainer for the 1st time...those will also be lower I assume.
- I skipped all swimmers and tubers because they give low money compared to the effort used surfing out to them.
- I re-matched all of these NPCs within the past couple months (November 2016) so I'm certain it's up to date. I will try to update accordingly if/when nerfs or buffs happen.
- Payouts differ a little bit each time you re-battle an NPC. So you may get slightly different totals each time, but the data won't vary too much (a couple hundred yen difference at most). I'm mainly just giving an idea of what you will make on average.

Firstly I would recommend you to click here for the Part 1 "NPC Rematch Payouts (Part 1 - All Data)"

Now we have all that data, so which trainers are worth the effort?
It's true, some trainers just aren't worth it. So I'm about to share the paths that I believe are the most profitable for the time spent. But remember, sometimes what works for one player won't necessarily work for the next player. This is 100% only my opinion. I'm not saying this is the best path to take, only that it's my path. Use it, add to it, subtract from it, or create your own based on what you think is most ideal. And as always, I'm open to suggestions. I would love to see players share their own custom money runs they've created using the data above. I could even add them to this guide later and give credit to the maker. It's great to have options! :) So I hope that's something we can achieve here in the future.

PREPARATIONS:
  Hide contents
-Amulet Coin
-Repels (optional)
-Sweepers - I use a Lv 100 Starmie (Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt) and a Lv 100 Gengar (Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, Giga Drain, Psychic) and all moves PP maxed on both. I like Starmie and Gengar, but you can use whatever gets the job done. Some people use a Blaziken with Double Kick to deal with Sturdy mons. Use more than 2 sweepers if you don't wanna heal PP too often.
-HM Slaves (or Ocarinas) - You will have to Surf and Fly around, Cut trees, and Flash (in Rock Tunnel) to navigate etc.
NOTE: Don't forget to switch up your party to re-match gyms if needed!

TIP: Maybe devs frown upon making alts...but being able to money run on more than one account can get you hella cash pretty quickly. Thankfully, back when NPC farming wasn't that profitable, I would do full story alt runs and sell everything along the way to make cash. So I have a few accounts that I can actually do the quick runs (found further down in this guide) on 5-6 different characters while my main is on cooldown. Aside from mailing my Lv. 100 sweepers and a couple ocarinas between accounts, it isn't too much trouble to make a routine out of it. Even having just ONE extra character is worth it.

EDIT: I recently had someone message me to inquire which pokemon I use during gym re-matches. So I figured I could add that info here.
If it wasnt known to you yet, the gym rematches are all 6v6 double battles with their pokemon all level 80.

Rustboro= I use Starmie and water absorb Vaporeon. Both are level 100. All these sturdy mons suck. And Cradily is annoying so I usually focus it with Icebeam and Surf, and sometimes EQ from Roxanne's other mon helps me take it out before it can use a grass move on me. If anything of mine dies I have a bulky Swampert with Ice Punch too once Cradily is gone to deal with her other rock mons. I would imagine something with a super effective multi-hit move would be best here but I dont have anything like that. Maybe YOU do tho.
Dewford= Starmie psychic and eruption Typhlosion lvl 100. Extremely easy.
Mauville= Swampert (EQ) and levitate Gengar lvl 100s. Another really easy one.
Lavaridge= I use the same Starmie/ Vaporeon from Rustboro. Also easy.
Petalburg= Medicham brickbreak and Swampert superpower both lvl 100. This gym can be kinda difficult if you let your physical attackers die so don't do that. Eruption Typh can do well here too except against Blissey but some of Norman's mons have EQ so look out for that.
Fortree= Starmie and Jolteon lvl 100s. Another very easy gym.
Mossdeep= Starmie and Swampert. I sometimes switch to volt absorb Jolteon if I expect a Tbolt from Gardevoir on my Starmie.
Sootopolis= Starmie tbolt and Jolteon. I sometimes switch to Gengar here to Giga Drain the Whiscash.

Of course many different mons can work, but these are the ones I use. They by far aren't the best choices or anything, they're just the mons I have that do decently and are actually level 100. Just figure out what works best for you and once you have a system worked out it becomes like 2nd nature to rush thru these.

NOTES:
-My times may be faster than yours because I have the routes memorized. I don't need to reference anything. You'll get faster at doing them the more times you do them.
-Times will vary depending on how distracted you are/aren't.
-How many sweepers you're using can effect your times too. (Healing PP often can waste time.)
-I use repels so if you don't use repels in the caves and such then it will take you a bit longer also.
